Beautiful dice, but hard to read on white surfaces
Despite the gold-on-yellow numbering, this set of dice is quite easy to read from a distance, as long as you aren't rolling on a white surface. Wooden tables, midtone-to-dark plastic surfaces, and book covers are all good (and likely to be surfaces you'd have available during a game session). I've also found that a shadow at the right angle - such that it's visible through most of the die, but without hitting the number you need to read - makes them more legible on white surfaces (such as printer paper), and can be achieved without actually picking up the die itself (so you're less likely to accidentally change the number, or be accused of doing so by your fellow players).
As far as aesthetics go, the milky white swirled through translucent yellow evokes the image of milk and honey, making these dice perfect for healers and desert-dwellers alike. They're also great if your character has a flair for lightning or radiant magic!
