Introducing the world’s first mass produced braille polyhedral dice! Designed by the DOTS RPG Project, these dice use letters A-J to represent numbers 1-10 and letters K-T to represent numbers 11-20. The Touch Point Edge can be considered an underline, acting as an orientation marker to indicate the proper way to read each face when the dice are rolled.

The DOTS Braille RPG Dice were designed with the blind and visually impaired experience as the main focus. Tactile readability was prioritized by creating consistent faces across all dice with a single braille cell and no engraved numbers. This simplified numbering system makes the dice easy to learn and fun to read!

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to Accessibility In Tabletop, the DOTS RPG Project provides braille dice, accessibility resources, and more to make tabletop roleplaying games accessible for disabled gamers. A portion of all proceeds will go directly to the DOTS RPG Project to fund the continuous production of Braille RPG Dice.

Perfect for accessibility!

Students love being able to roll their own dice and read it, giving them full autonomy of their own characters in D&D. Cannot fault them at all

Braille Dice- tested and reviewed

The design is unique.
I work at a place where we produce Braille documents And I wanted to get my blind coworkers a unique gift.
As noted in the description, they do not use traditional number indicators, they just use letters of the alphabet to signify the number. For example, A=1, B=2... J=10, etc.
I bought both sets, the d6 set, and this one. This one seemed like it was molded instead of 3D printed like the d6 pack. I like that.
The feedback I got from my co-workers who rely on Braille to navigate their world was mixed. They liked that the product existed, but everyone had the same question.
Why not just add the numerical indicator before the letter like normal Braille? Thereby making it read how they are used to reading numbers (Apologies, I can't explain very well).
The feedback I got from half a dozen folks who exclusively use Braille was that they wished that the dice were larger, that way they could make the numbers much more readable.
I think that is a wonderful suggestion!

They did say that the "key' marking along the border showing them the orientation of the die was unique and appreciated once they understood its function. Again, several of them said it could be made larger or in other way more noticeable so they could figure it out quicker.
Hot take: it's a great step in the right direction! Needs some fine tuning. Making the dice larger would solve many of the feedback critiques. Being able to add the numerical indicator would be fantastic!
I hope this feedback was helpful. Thank you for this product, everyone who put their hands on it smiled.

My blind friend loved them

Caught them talking out loud wondering how the system worked for a while (and enjoying speculating) until I explained that they worked from the alphabet and what number of the alphabet each letter is, they've actually been playing rather than looking bored and not using the dice apps on their phone. Tactile media is pretty great.
