Introducing the world’s first mass produced braille polyhedral dice! Designed by the DOTS RPG Project, these dice use letters A-J to represent numbers 1-10 and letters K-T to represent numbers 11-20. The Touch Point Edge can be considered an underline, acting as an orientation marker to indicate the proper way to read each face when the dice are rolled.

The DOTS Braille RPG Dice were designed with the blind and visually impaired experience as the main focus. Tactile readability was prioritized by creating consistent faces across all dice with a single braille cell and no engraved numbers. This simplified numbering system makes the dice easy to learn and fun to read!

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to Accessibility In Tabletop, the DOTS RPG Project provides braille dice, accessibility resources, and more to make tabletop roleplaying games accessible for disabled gamers. Great product

I bought these as a gift for my blind friend, and he was genuinely surprised that something like this even existed. He was really happy to have a set of RPG dice that he could actually read and use himself.

The dice are well made and the tactile Braille works well. The only real issue we found was that the Braille embossing on the included reference guide card is quite light, so he wasn’t able to read the card himself. Fortunately, it also has printed text, so I was able to read the reference information to him.

Overall though it’s a fantastic product and a really thoughtful accessibility option. It’s great to see something like this being made.

This is my second RPG set, and I'm so glad I bought them. I'm just so glad that these could be adapted for braille users. A lot of games out there aren't, and D&D is one of my favorites, so I'm so happy to have found these.

These Dice are Perfect!

I got a set for Christmas, and also bought a set for my friend thereafter. We both love them! We're both Braille readers, although I'm more fluent than my friend, and we have no problem with the numbers. Being that Braille uses the numbers of the alphabet for one through nine, as well as zero, it's very easy just to add 10. I like the fact that they're not twice as big if not more by having the numbers be traditionally written out as they would be in a book. This makes a lot more sense.

I also absolutely adore the way they are designed for orientation. My friend has another set of braille dice, neither of us are sure where he got them from, as a friend of his gave them to him, but he struggles to know which side is down for each face. Also, for those particular dice, the outline of each face isn't a flat line, but a series of dots, which, although he doesn't get the dots mixed up with the Braille, Is a bit confusing at times. Having your dice be just a flat line across the face with a break in the middle to indicate how they're meant to be oriented makes them a lot faster to read, and a lot more pleasant to touch.

My friend in particular was gushing about how satisfying it is to slide his hand across the edges of each face as he turns the dice. He loves that!

In terms of the contrast, I like that they're one color. I find too many colors really overstimulating, especially bright colors, and I always use a dice tray with my dice no matter what, so I know I won't lose them, so the dice not contrasting well with the table doesn't bother me at all. I'm hoping to buy another set of these to have more dice to roll at one time. I'm hoping to next buy the metal dice. I will definitely be buying more sets of these for my friends if they want them.

Perfect for accessibility!

I work in a college for the blind for post 16 education. Students love being able to roll their own dice and read it, giving them full autonomy of their own characters in D&D. They fully understood what the markers mean and didn't miss the numerical indicator on the dice due to the context of their use. Some students are still developing their braille skills, so the cards that help translate that come with each set is handy. If I could rate these higher, I would.
