First Rolls, Pure Radiance

I ordered the Sunshard set alongside my Bloody Starrazors, and just like with those, my first reaction was the weight—or rather, the lack of it. These gold dice look like they were forged from some mythical alloy straight out of a dwarven legend, but in hand they’re unexpectedly light and smooth. Die Hard Dice describes them as “light as a sunbeam dancing on the leaves,” and honestly, that’s spot on.

Visually, they’re stunning. The warm, gold-toned finish catches the light in a way that makes the dice look almost radiant, and the black inking provides excellent contrast. They’re extremely readable at a glance, which is something I appreciate at the table.

My early rolls echoed my experience with the Starrazors—strong, consistent, and immediately promising. They had that same “save these for when it matters” energy, the kind of luck that makes you tuck them away until the moment the narrative demands something dramatic.

I’ll be rotating Sunshard into key scenes of my upcoming sessions, and I’m thrilled to add them to my collection. Light in the hand, bright on the table, and a beautiful addition to any dragon’s hoard.

They look and feel great! The numbers are easy to read and in the dice size are in the Goldilocks zone being not too big or small.

While I do have other varieties/colors of this style dice and love them dearly, I have neither ordered nor received this "Sunshard" set. Not sure why you've asked for a review on it. Looks nice, tho...
